Tuscany is a crossed north from the northern Apennines, the last stretch before it takes the name of Central Apennines.

From the Cisa Pass to Bocca Trabaria in the province of Arezzo, right in the Tuscan part of the Apennines there are three natural parks, two national and one regional: the Alpi Apuane Regional Park, the Tosco-Emiliano National Park and the National Park of the Forests Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna.

There are many possible excursions, especially in spring and summer.

In spring when meadows bloom and in summer because the mountain climate is better suited to excursions than the hill and the plain.
